Teaching
My teaching approach is broadly interdisciplinary, shaped by my belief that contemporary art, visual culture, and curatorial practice are deeply connected to wider social, historical, political, and pedagogical contexts. I have been fortunate to teach across institutions ranging from schools and community spaces to undergraduate and graduate programmes, and this has continually shaped how I think about learning, access, and public engagement.
Whether teaching visual arts pedagogy, research methodology, curatorial studies, or art history, I encourage students to think across disciplines and to situate artistic practice in relation to institutions, communities, archives, and everyday life. I particularly enjoy teaching dissertation and research methods modules, where working closely with students on research questions, methodologies, and critical writing continues to intrigue me, as I too remain invested in learning through the process.
Alongside teaching, I develop educational resources and pedagogical frameworks, including lecture materials, archival resources, exhibition-based learning activities, and research guides. My approach is closely informed by my curatorial and archival research, bringing exhibition-making, oral histories, and visual analysis into the classroom as ways of expanding how students encounter and produce knowledge.

Community Arts
Between 2016 and 2019
I have also been involved in numerous community art projects namely the “Meet-the-People” series of art workshops in Potong Pasir part of “OH!Open Call”, the “Artists in Collaboration” project with Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and a series of ongoing “Artists Workshops” for Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society. All these projects are examples of merging the making of art along pedagogic methods that inform my art-making, art education and art writing.
